NEM 2.0 Final Decision delivered

Tour of Bloom Energy facility

The NEM 2.0 final decision will be issued on January 28th. Later that evening, CALSEIA's Policy Director, Brad Heavner, will discuss NEM 2.0 and and all the details and changes that are occurring from NEM 1.0.

There will also be a tour of the headquarters of Bloom Energy, a manufacturer of on-site power generation systems and a presentation on the Bloom Energy Servers product itself. If you're unfamiliar with the technology or have not been to the headquarters, it is an amazing energy-saving technology that most of the Fortune 25 companies have invested in.

Brad has over sixteen years of clean energy advocacy experience with statewide and national organizations. He was the architect of the nation’s strictest state policy on existing coal-fired power plants, the Healthy Air Act, and led the campaign for Maryland’s law modeled on California’s AB 32.

He is the author of dozens of research reports written for statewide policy campaigns across the country. Before joining CALSEIA’s staff in 2013 he was working to support the development of Sonoma Clean Power and other Community Choice Aggregation initiatives in California.
