SUNPAC

The goal of the California Solar & Storage Association’s SUNPAC is to build and maintain a pro-clean energy majority in Sacramento. Words are cheap and being for clean energy is easy. Standing up to powerful opposition is not. The elected officials supported by our SUNPAC have the vision and grit to get the job done, and they need and deserve our support.

To build and maintain a clean energy majority, our SUNPAC makes direct contributions to legislators as well as hosts, along with strategic partners, special fundraisers throughout the year that afford an opportunity to meet political leaders in a relaxed and social atmosphere.

All CALSSA members are asked to contribute to the SUNPAC annually at levels commensurate with revenues. And, all CALSSA business members – big and small – are given the opportunity to participate in SUNPAC events. Suggested donations are in addition to membership.

Thanks to the generous support of hundreds of member companies, CALSSA is able to organize political events to support legislative champions such as an event to support Senator Josh Becker and Assembly member Marc Berman, both from the South Bay Area hosted at Solar4America’s Sacramento manufacturing facility. CALSSA’s SUNPAC supports more than a dozen bi-partisan champions each year. These events are extremely important and are open to all members.

Contributions are not deductible for federal or state income tax purposes.
State contribution limits to the SUNPAC are $8,100. The SUNPAC can accept contributions from individuals and businesses - although the contribution is attributed to BOTH the individual of the business and the business entity.

SUNPAC is a Political Action Committee registered with FPPC #961083, EIN 47-4008153.
