The Expedited Solar Permitting Act, AB 2188, has helped make pulling a permit for a standard residential solar installation quicker and easier, but there are still many places across the state that have not yet adopted the streamlined permit forms for safe installs, leading to costly delays and inefficiencies on both sides of the counter. To lower everyone's costs, cities, counties, building officials, and the solar industry are working together to make permitting easier for everyone. The panel of experts will describe efforts and resources available to streamline and improve local solar permitting in your city or county.
