LA Chapter Meeting

Join Us at the June 21 Greater LA Chapter Meeting!

AGENDA

AEE SOLAR / PAUL DAILEY
Paul Dailey, Sr. Manager, Product & Technical Sales, AEE Solar will speak to us about new battery technology, energy storage and self consumption. The Utilities are proposing changes in their rate plans, some moving the “peak” periods for residential to 4:00pm to 9:00pm, while others are not offering net metering claiming that they have reached their 5% cap. So future PV systems that are paired with a energy storage component will be more effective at paying for themselves.

NEM 2

CCA’s / WTH? (COMMUNITY CHOICE AGGREGATION)
It’s not a new concept, but it looks like it may be getting traction. Can a small player play or is this just for the “big fish”?

VIRTUAL NET METERING…….WHAT?????
I (Ron) have been invited to join a Dept. of Energy sponsored panel to evaluate and develop ways to create a successful Virtual Net Metering program, (NEM V). I will reveal the up sides and down sides to getting involved in the concept. It can be a very complicated program, but once one has the formula, it could take off like a rocket.

LADWP

ROD BERGEN AND CONTRACT LAW
Rod will stimulate our contract writing intelligence. Always great information.

FIT / FEED IN TARIFF
Update on the FIT program, any new players?  The DWP website has a matrix that allows you to enter production during the day at the various hours the system is producing. It then calculates the amount of revenue paid to the system owner.

P.A.C.E. PROGRAM (PROPERTY ASSESSED CLEAN ENERGY FINANCE PROGRAM). HERO PROGRAM UPDATE.
Updates on the P.A.C.E. “HERO” FINANCING PROGRAM THAT IS GROWING IN So. Cal.
