SAN DIEGO, CA – The California Solar & Storage Association (CALSSA) today announced the band line-up for Solar Battle of the Bands (SBOB), the industry’s well-loved solar music competition.
The event will return on Thursday, February 19 to Moonshine Flats following the second day of the Intersolar & Energy Storage North America (IESNA) Flagship tradeshow and conference. SBOB is co-hosted by CALSSA and IESNA and is a major fundraiser for CALSSA.
This year’s band line-up:
New band, “Rapid Shutdown” from Baker Home Energy
Returning band, “Café Negro” from Avila Solar & Flywheel Renewables
Returning band, “The Lagging Indicators” from New Leaf Energy
Returning band, “Northerner” from SnapNrack & K2 Systems
“This event has always brought the solar community together. We all come from so many different parts of the world in this industry and on this night we all literally sing the same song. I can’t wait!” said Johan Alfsen of SnapNrack, who founded SBOB in 2011 while working at Quick Mount PV.

Doors open at 7 PM. The first band will perform at 8 PM. The event ends at 12 AM sharp.
